BBQ PEANUTS

BBQ flavored peanuts are easy and yummy.

BBQ Peanuts image

Steps:

  • 1. Pre-heat oven to 250 F. Grease a 15x10x1 inch baking pan.
  • 2. In a bowl, whisk egg white until foamy. Add liquid smoke and peanuts; toss to coat.
  • 3. Combine the remaining ingredients. Sprinkle over nuts; toss to coat.
  • 4. Spread in a single layer on your greased baking pan. Bake for 1 hour, stirring once half way through baking.
  • 5. Spread on wax paper to cool. **this is a must do step**
  • 6. Store in airtight container.

1 egg white
2 Tbsp liquid smoke
3 c salted peanuts
1/2 c sugar
1 tsp chili powder
1 tsp ground cumin
1/4 tsp garlic powder
1/4 tsp cayenne pepper

  • Combine all ingredients in lg bowl.
  • Spread on lightly oiled baking sheet.
  • Bake 20 min at 300F, stirring halfway through.
  • Cool completely; store in airtight container.

1/3 cup mesquite smoke-flavored barbecue sauce
1/2 teaspoon onion salt
