DELICIOUS AND EASY CORN ON THE COB
I learned this from a shopper in Stockbridge, Massachusetts when I was young. I have used this for 40 years and it has never failed to produce the most wonderful corn on the cob.

Steps:
- Bring a large pot of water to a boil. Stir sugar into water to dissolve; add corn, cover pot, and turn heat off, leaving pot on hot burner.
- Steep corn in hot water until tender, about 25 minutes.

- Peel down husk,remove silk and divide BUTTER BUDS liquid evenly over each ear of corn.
- Recover with the husk.
- Heat over coals or grill.
- Turn one-fourth the way around every 3 to 5 minutes.

MICROWAVE CORN-ON-THE-COB IN THE HUSK
This is one of my favorite ways to fix corn on the cob, even when I have several to fix. Without the water from boiling, the corn stays nice and sweet. Hope this helps just one young cook.

- Rinse entire ear of corn under water briefly. Wrap corn in a paper towel and place on a microwave-safe plate.
- Cook corn in the microwave oven until hot and cooked through, 3 to 5 minutes. Remove from microwave and let rest for 2 minutes. Remove corn husk.

CORN ON THE COB IN HUSK FOR THE FIREPIT.
When we go camping or at home, we have an old cooler we fill with water.We buy corn and soak it in the husk in the cooler. We made this for our friends about 10 years ago and this is the way they do it now.We have a lot of corn like this at night time around the firepit.

- Soak at least 4 hours in water or overnight.
- You can also cook this on the bar-b-q.
- Drain excess water and place on grill; turn over about every 15 minutes.
- (Takes about 40 minutes to cook.).
- When you take it off the grill, pull the husk back but don't break it off--the silk will come off easy.
- Use the husk as a handle and roll the cob in butter.

- Prepare Flavored Butter; set aside. Leaving husks intact, peel from tip of cob to base. Remove and discard any damaged or discolored outer husks. Thoroughly remove all silks from each ear of corn (a nubby kitchen towel rubbed briskly between rows of kernels makes easy work of this, Scott says). Rewrap husks around cobs, then tie ends with strips of husks or 100-percent-cotton kitchen string.

- Place the corn still in the husk on the grill, turning every 5 to 6 minutes. It will be done in about 20 minutes on a pellet grill and 15 minutes on a charcoal grill. Carefully remove the corn from the grill—it will be very hot! Pull the husk back and either remove it completely or leave it on and use it as a handle. You can use a knife to cut off the bottom part of the corncob where the husk attaches. Brush the corn with the mayonnaise, and then sprinkle with the rub and cheese. Garnish with a squirt of lime.
